Breakfast of Champions: Maple Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
11% ABV | Two-Barrel Blend | California Wild Ales
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At California Wild Ales, we couldn’t agree more. We just prefer ours aged in whiskey barrels and served in a glass.
Introducing Breakfast of Champions, our latest limited-release imperial stout, clocking in at a hearty 11% ABV.
This big, bold stout is a blend of two carefully selected barrels with a unique history. Both originally held whiskey before being used to age maple syrup. Those same barrels were then used to age our imperial stout, creating a delicious combination of rich maple sweetness, warming whiskey, and roasted malt character.
The result? A full-bodied, decadent stout featuring notes of maple syrup, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, and toasted oak. Think fluffy pancakes drenched in maple syrup, followed by a sip of smooth whiskey. Only better, because it’s beer.
A Breakfast Worth Celebrating
Inspired by those iconic orange cereal boxes of the 1980s and ’90s, Breakfast of Champions brings a little childhood nostalgia to the world of craft beer. Our very own Brett the Purple Monster takes center stage, happily pouring maple syrup over a towering stack of pancakes.
Because who needs an Olympic gold medal when you’ve got pancakes and an 11% stout?
